 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Police confirm kidnap of channels reporter in Rivers


The Rivers state police commissioner Olatunji Disu has confirmed the abduction of the Channels TV reporter in Rivers state Joshua Rogers.


According to the Rivers CP in a conversation with our correspondent, Josh was abducted Thursday night at about 9pm in front of his gate at Rumuosi, in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers state.


His black GAC GS4 SUV was also taken by his abductors, while the DSS. Navy, Army, NSCDC have all been alerted as well as the governor whom he worked directly with. The CP assured that efforts are on to rescue him.
