 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.  Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua Appointed as Equatorial Guinea’s New Prime Minister


Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema has appointed Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua as the new Prime Minister.


 The 48-year-old, who previously served as the head of the country’s Central Bank, now steps into the role with the task of steering the government through challenging times.


Osa Nsue Nsua succeeds Manuela Roka Botey, the first woman to hold the position, who resigned after just 18 months amid sharp criticism from the president, who deemed her administration "ineffective."
