 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  French authorities have reportedly extended the detention of Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, following his arrest at a Paris airport.


 Durov, 39, is facing serious allegations, including the failure to moderate illegal content on the messaging platform, as well as charges related to enabling criminal activities and cyberbullying. Despite the controversy, Elon Musk has come forward to defend Telegram.
