Zaria Residents Petition INEC To Recall Speaker Abbas, Senator Ibrahim Khalid, Over Alleged Neglect, Poor Representation

A group of concerned citizens from Zaria City, have formally petitioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recall two prominent political figures, Honorable Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Senator Ibrahim Khalid Soba.

The petitioners alleged that the representatives have failed to provide adequate representation and address the pressing needs of their constituents.

The petition, which has garnered significant attention in the region, outlined various grievances against the two elected officials.

The residents claim that Dr. Tajuddeen and Senator Soba have failed to live up to their responsibilities, despite their high-ranking positions, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among the people of Zaria.

Among the concerns raised are issues related to infrastructure development, social welfare, and effective communication between the representatives and their constituents.

The petitioners argue that the lack of tangible progress and consistent neglect of the community's needs have led them to take this drastic step.
