As IGP Harps on Standardisation of Police Force

The Nigeria Police Force wishes to announce the forthcoming graduation of the 6th Regular Course Cadets, an important milestone that underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to excellence and professionalism.

This event is set to take place on September 7th, 2024, at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Kano, and it marks a significant achievement for the cadets and the Academy.

In a recent address, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM., emphasized the critical importance of standardization within the Nigeria Police Force, underscoring that a well-trained police force is essential for enhancing public safety, maintaining law and order, and promoting community trust in the Nigeria Police Force.

The graduating class of the 6th Regular Course Cadets have undergone comprehensive training designed to prepare them for the diverse challenges they will face as future leaders in policing. This rigorous curriculum includes extensive instruction in areas such as community policing, conflict resolution, ethics, human rights, criminal investigation, and advanced leadership skills.

The IGP expresses optimism that the new graduates will serve as exemplary role models in their respective communities, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and professionalism. Their training is a testament to the ongoing reforms aimed at building a more responsive, accountable, and citizen-centric police force.
