CJN Bans Lawyers, Court Officials to Stop Using ‘Barrister’ as Official Title The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has directed lawyers, court officials and other legal personnel to discontinue the use of “Barrister” as a prefix to their names in all official engagements at the Supreme Court. The directive was contained in a memorandum dated July 13, 2026, and signed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Kabir Akanbi. The circular, which was addressed to litigation staff, legal practitioners, court registrars and lawyers, stated that the directive took immediate effect and was aimed at upholding professional standards within the apex court. Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has written a beautiful note to mothers


In a post on her Instagram page, she stated that if they have children who love and support them and strive to make them proud, they should know that they are truly special.


 She stated that no amount of sacrifice or struggle can compare to the unconditional love their children will give back as their love is a reflection of God’s love for you.


The mother of two added that as a parent, they are blessed to have such wonderful children as she assured them that God’s divine life surrounds them. She reminded them that God will never leave their side and that their children’s lives and devotion are a testament to His presence in their lives.
