BOLLYWOOD ACTOR ALLU ARJUN ARRESTED SENT TO 14 DAYS CUSTODY. (PHOTO).

Actor Allu Arjun was arrested and sent to 14 days custody on Friday in connection with the stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his movie Pushpa-2.

The tragic event, which occurred on December 4, claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi. Her son, who was injured in the stampede, is still undergoing treatment. The incident was reportedly caused by poor crowd management during the actor’s appearance at the theatre.

A police team, led by an assistant commissioner, arrived at Allu Arjun’s residence to take him into custody while his family members were present. The actor was escorted to a police vehicle and taken to the Chikkadpally police station. The authorities had earlier registered a case against Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint filed by Revathi’s family. They were charged under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The stampede occurred when an unmanageable crowd rushed to see Allu Arjun at the theatre, leading to chaos and a police lathi charge. According to the police, the theatre management failed to make adequate security arrangements despite being informed of the actor’s visit. Additionally, no separate entry or exit was arranged for the actor and his team, contributing to the overcrowding. Earlier, three individuals, including a co-partner of the theatre, were arrested for their alleged negligence.

Allu Arjun had filed a plea to quash the FIR and requested a stay on his arrest and further legal proceedings. However, the police proceeded with the arrest after completing their investigation. The incident has sparked widespread discussions about safety measures at public events involving celebrities and the responsibilities of organizers in preventing such tragedies.
