 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Aiyedatiwa, Adelami Inaugurated as Ondo Governor, Deputy


Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, have officially been sworn in for a new four-year term in Ondo State.


The Chief Justice of the state, Olusegun Odusola, administered the oath of office to both leaders in a ceremony attended by state residents and dignitaries.


During the swearing-in, Aiyedatiwa and Adelami pledged to uphold the constitution and work for the welfare of the people.


The inauguration signals the beginning of a new administration in Ondo State.


Among those present at the event were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and Minister of Youth Development Ayo Olawande.
