 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Osun PDP Passes Vote of Confidence on Governor Adeleke, Backs His Next Political Move


The Osun State PDP leadership caucus has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ademola Adeleke, pledging full support for any decision he makes amid speculation of a possible defection.


At a high-level meeting held at the Government House, party leaders from across state and national structures vowed to follow Adeleke “wherever he goes,” while noting he is still consulting on his next political steps.


The communique followed detailed briefings by the governor and deliberations by leaders, including lawmakers, party executives, and former officials.
