 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.  Meet Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, the Pilot in GAF Helicopter Crash 


Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) helicopter c,rash has claimed the lives of eight people, including top government officials


The unfortunate incident occurred on August 6, 2025, in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region, when the helicopter was heading for Obuasi. 


Top government officials, Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, were on board the helicopter and aside them, the Deputy National Security Coordinator, Limuna Muniru, Former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Samuel Sarpong, and Former legislator Samuel Aboagye, were also involved in the c,rash. 


Three army personnel, namely Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, were also on board. 


Squadron Peter Bafemi Anala was the pilot. Before his demise, he was a commissioned officer in the air forces, specifically above Flight Lieutenant and below Wing Commander. 


Squadron Peter Bafemi Anala reportedly left behind a two-month-old baby.
