AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. Toyota recalls 162,000 trucks due to defective display screens

Toyota announced Friday a recall of approximately 162,000 pickup trucks in the U.S. after discovering that the vehicles’ multimedia screens could create safety hazards for drivers.

The recall covers 2024 and 2025 model year Tundra and Tundra Hybrid trucks. Toyota is notifying affected owners directly.

The company cautioned that the display screens may “freeze on a camera view” or go completely blank in certain situations, which could prevent drivers from seeing the backup camera while reversing. Toyota said the issue may violate federal safety standards.
