 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations.  POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED CULTISTS IN UYO


Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested two suspected members of the Black Axe Confraternity during an intelligence-led operation in Uyo.


A statement signed by the Police Public relations officer, Timfon John indicates that

the arrest was made following credible intelligence that a group of suspected cultists were conducting initiation activities at a  Secondary School, along Oron Road.


Upon arrival at the scene, the suspects fled on sighting the patrol team, abandoning a red mini-bus with registration number NYA-164XA. 


After a hot chase, two suspects were apprehended namely:

 • Anitie  Isaac (Male)

 • Unyime Effiong (Male)


Items recovered at the scene include:

 • One axe

 • One brown calabash

 • One bottle of Lord’s alcoholic drink

 • Different types of incense

 • Coloured handkerchiefs

 • One Neo Black Axe 


The suspects and exhibits are currently in police custody and undergoing thorough investigation.
