 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband. CORPS MARSHAL LAUNCHES  OPERATION CRACKDOWN ON PATROL OFFICERS' MISCONDUCTS


The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has launched a nationwide operations aimed at stamping out unprofessional conduct, indiscipline, extortion, abuse of authority and every form of misconduct during patrol operations, reaffirming that integrity, discipline and respect for human dignity remain the bedrock of the Corps' operational philosophy.


In a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, the directive, which takes immediate effect, follows the Corps Marshal's resolve to continually strengthen public confidence in FRSC by ensuring that every patrol operation reflects the highest standards of professionalism, transparency and accountability. 


Under the new directive, all Commanding Officers across the country have been mandated to intensify supervision of patrol teams, strengthen ethical reorientation through regular lectures, parade sessions and pre-patrol briefings, while ensuring absolute compliance with the FRSC Establishment Act, operational guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.
