  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.        Troops of 21 Brigade supported by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force deployed in Operation Lafiya Dole to conduct Counter terrorism and Counter insurgency operations in the North East have rescued 148 civilians held hostage by Boko Haram terrorists in Modu Kinetic, a remote village in Bama Local Government Area of Borno state. The troops rescued the hostages during an extensive Clearance Operation on Sunday 3rd June 2018, to rid the general area of Bama, Modu Kimeri and Gulumba Gana of fleeing elements of Boko Haram terrorists who had escaped from the ongoing troops' onslaught in the Lake Chad Islands and fringes of the northern borders of Borno State.       Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has told members of the re-constituted Election Monitoring and Support Centre (EMSC) Committee to brace up for the important assignment of ensuring the success of the 2019 general elections. He said the work of the committee was vital because of the need to constantly track planning mechanisms and activities put in place for the smooth conduct of the next General Elections. According to Prof Yakubu, who spoke while inaugurating the Committee at the Commission’s headquarters on 4 th  June, a good election is derived from good planning, while proper monitoring of the plans put in place “will limit the areas of difficulty” during elections. Olakunrin slumped and died on Sunday morning at the age of 80.        Senate President yesterday monday wrote on social media first that '' I have just informed my ADC to get the letter of invitation from the Police in respect of the allegations raised yesterday — so that I can immediately honour the alleged invitation''.But few hours after his post as he was being accused of his involvement in the Offa robbery as some of the suspects are mentioning his name,he wrote this on Social media '' Following my earlier post, I have received the letter from the Police. They are no longer asking me to appear at any station, but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours''.
