25kg Cocaine deal: Court grants NDLEA's request to detain Abba Kyari, 6 others for 2 weeks A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja and presided over by Justice Zainab Dimka Abubakar has granted an application by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA to detain for two weeks Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari and six others under investigation for their involvement in a 25kilograms cocaine deal. The court gave the order following the application by the anti-narcotic agency, argued by its Director of Prosecution and Legal Services, Mr. Sunday Joseph on Tuesday 22nd February 2022. The Agency had in the application dated 15th February 2022 in suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/111/2022 sought the leave of the court to detain the suspects in NDLEA custody for 14 days pending the conclusion of investigation. Court Orders Final Forfeiture of N500m Linked To Ex-Bauchi SSG Justice Zainab Abubakar of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, granted the application of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for the final forfeiture of $899,600 (N500m) linked to a former Secretary to the Bauchi State Government (SSG), Ibrahim Ahmed Dandija.  Justice Zainab in her ruling today, held that the prosecution had placed sufficient evidence before the court that the said money was proceeds of crime and should be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria as demanded by the Money Laundering Prohibition Act of 2011 as amended in 2012.  Justice Folashade Giwa Ogunbanjo of the Federal High Court, Abuja had on December 4, 2019, ordered the interim forfeiture of the said sum after EFCC through her counsel, Ekele Iheanacho filed an ex parte application for its seizure, upon recovery from an apartment at Sigma Apartment, 1 Embu Street, off Aminu Kano Cresc...

EFCC Arraigns Woman for Employment Scam The Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC, today 22nd February, 2022, arraigned one Amina Jauro (aka Jauro Amina Lawal) before Justice Darius Khobo of Kaduna State High Court on a five count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence.  Amina is alleged to have defrauded some hapless jobseekers of N 1, 850, 000 (One Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) in 2019 on the pretext that the money would be used to secure employment for them with some Federal Government Agencies. It was after the payment, that they discovered that they had been scammed and efforts to recover their monies proved abortive.  One more photo below.

2023: Kwankwaso, Other Non-Active Politicians Form New Party A former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Tuesday announced the formation of Third Force, under the aegis of The National Movement, thereby lightening the political temper of Nigeria towards the 2023 Presidency. Others in the team with him include Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi of Kaduna State; former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung; popular Northern critic, Buba Galadima; and other prominent Nigerians. According to them, the Third Force would take over power from the All Progressives Congress in 2023. The TNM said it was conscious of its strong duties to save Nigeria from disintegration. Other notable politicians are: Tanko Yakasai; Air Vice Marshall Ifeanaju; Solomon Edoda; Nweze Onu; Falasade Aliyu; Rufai Alkali; Suleiman Hunkuyi; Grace Ben; Umale Shittu; Ibrahim Ringim; Ali Gwaska; Paul Okala; Rufai Hanga; Idris Wada; Abdulrahman Abubakar, among several others.

2023: We Won’t Allow ‘Peoples Destruction Party’ (PDP) Return To Power, Says El-Rufai  Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has taken a swipe at the main opposition party in Nigeria, The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying the APC is committed, by reaching a zoning formula agreement, to ensure the “Peoples’ destruction party” does not return to power. Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, said contrary to reports in the media of division among the APC governors, the agreement had been reached on the zoning formula. He said: “We have agreed on a zoning formula for all the six geo-political zones. Essentially, the northern zone will have the positions the south have had in the last eight years. And vice versa. “So, by the grace of God, on the 26th of March, we would have done our national convention.” el-Rufai also said, “We are committed to ensuring that the Peoples, Destruction Party doesn’t come back to power.”

Zoe Sozo Bethel, a conservative commentator for Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) and the 2021 winner of Miss Alabama For America Strong, has died at 27 after succumbing to injuries sustained in an undisclosed accident, the E! News reports. Bethel’s family confirmed her death in a post on Instagram. They wrote that she died on Feb. 18 but did not reveal any further details surrounding her death.  “Zoe touched the hearts of many people and was actively affiliated with several organizations and groups namely, she was the current Miss Alabama (for America Strong), a political commentator for RSBN, a Brand Ambassador for Turning Point USA, and Liberty University’s Falkirk Center,” the Instagram post read.  “At this time of bereavement, effectual and fervent prayers are solicited for the family members, and the family asks that their privacy wishes be honored and respected.”  Bethel’s family also asked supporters to donate to their GoFundMe page to aid in m...
