PROTOCOL

Please permit me to welcome all invitees to this Town Hall Meeting, our very first edition this year 2022. In particular, I welcome my colleagues, Honourable Ministers, who have taken time off their very busy schedule to be here.

2. This #FGTownHallMeeting, the 21st edition since we kick-started the programme in Lagos in 2016, is one of the more than half a dozen Town Hall Meetings which we have slated for this year to showcase the achievements of the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, as the Administration gradually winds up.

3. Because of the massive infrastructure development of the Administration, the first two in the series for 2022, including today's, will be dedicated to Infrastructure. The Honourable Ministers of Works and Housing; Power as well as Finance, Budget and National Planning are here for today's Town Hall Meeting, while the second edition on infrastructure will feature the Honourable Ministers of Transportation; Aviation; Water Resources as well as Communications and Digital Economy. The third Town Hall Meeting will also be dedicated to infrastructure, but this time, infrastructure development in the Federal Capital Territory.

4. Other Town Hall Meetings scheduled for this year will focus on the Administration's strides in the area of the National Social Investment
Programme; fight against corruption; insecurity; national unity and the economy, among others.

5. Let me commend the National Orientation Agency (NOA), which has worked tirelessly with officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture to organize this event. It is always a lot of work organizing and coordinating events of this magnitude. We also thank the NTA and FRCN, which are covering this Town Hall Meeting live, as they have always done, as well as the News Agency of Nigeria, the Voice of Nigeria, and indeed all the myriads of media organizations that are here to cover this event. If I am right, the Daily Trust TV, for the very first time, will also be covering us live. Our sincere gratitude to you all.

6. On this note, I want to once again welcome all our invitees, while also wishing us all a successful deliberation. It is now my pleasure to invite the Honourable Minister of Works and Housing, to take the podium.

7. I thank you all for your kind attention.
