 Prince William and Kate Middleton bring George, Charlotte and Louis to Commonwealth Games for first Scotland public outing Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking the siblings’ first official public appearance in Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attended the sporting event on Saturday, Aug. 1, during their summer break with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. While in Scotland, where William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the family spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families. The couple also visited SportsAid, an organisation that supports young athletes. Kate has served as patron of the organisation since 2013. Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan Escapes Death, Loses 2 Aides in Auto crash. Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan was on Wednesday evening involved in an auto crash in Abuja which claimed the lives of two his aides. One of his aides, who confirmed the accident, said Jonathan was fine and okay. As of the time of filing this story, the former president was said to be at home. The accident occurred when the ECOWAS Special Envoy was on his way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his residence in Abuja. One more photo below.

Queen of drug cartel, cross-border trafficker arrested in Taraba, Adamawa A notorious queen of drug cartel supplying psychoactive substances to traffickers in Taraba state, Lami Mai Rigima has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA months after being on their wanted list. The 40-year-old queen of the drug world came under the anti-narcotic agencys searchlight when a number of traffickers arrested in the state in 2021 and early this year fingered her as their supplier. The manhunt for Lami paid off on Monday 4th April when operatives tracked her to her hideout in Iware village in Ardo Kola local government area of Taraba.  The search for Lami began in October 2021 following the arrest, prosecution and conviction of a drug dealer, Abdullahi Madaki, 50. Money Laundering: Court Adjourns Mompha’s Trial Till June 2 The trial of Ismaila Mustapha, also known as Mompha, and his company, Ismalob Global Investment Limited, before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos continued on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, with both the prosecution and defence giving the court the "report" on the plea bargain being worked on. Mompha was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on January 12, 2022 on eight counts bordering on conspiracy to launder funds obtained through unlawful activity, retention of proceeds of criminal conduct, laundering of funds obtained through unlawful activity, failure to disclose assets and property, possession of documents containing false pretence and use of property derived from unlawful act.  One of the counts reads: "Ismaila Mustapha, Ahmadu Mohammed (at large) and Ismalob Global Investment Limited, sometime in 2016, in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable C...

EFCC Docks Ex-Legislative Aide for N6.5m Fraud, Three Others Convicted of Cybercrime in Kwara The Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 arraigned one Segun Emmanuel Oni, a Personal Assistant to former Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial Constituency, Senator Simeon Ajibola, for criminal breach of trust and fraud to the tune of N6.5million. Oni, 42, from Isapa in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State was arraigned before Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin on a two-count charge contrary to Section 311 of the Penal Code Law and punishable under Section 312 of the same Penal Code. Oni was allegedly entrusted with two Toyota Siena mini bus and one Toyota Rav4 by one Mr. Samson Adewoye, which he sold and converted the proceeds to personal use. The defendant pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him.
