  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. ICPC arraigns Varsity Staff Over N9.9m Contract Fraud The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arraigned one Mr. Alanamu Zubair Olayemi, a Web Programmer II of the University of Ilorin, for alleged contract fraud and abuse of office. In a Charge No: KWS/53C/2022 brought before Hon. Justice Adenike Akinpelu of Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, ICPC accused the university staff of holding an indirect private interest in a contract awarded to Global-Wise ICT Solutions and Technology Limited of which he was the sole signatory to the company’s bank account. The Commission, therefore, in a 2-count charge preferred against the accused person, informed the court of how the public servant used his position to confer corrupt advantage upon himself as the beneficial owner of Global-Wise ICT Solutions & Technology Limited, in which account the contract sum of N9,950,800.00 was paid. The trip signifies the importance attached to the security and wellbeing of Liberia and the rest of West Africa. On this day, Liberia marks a Special Independence anniversary, commemorating 175 years of self-rule, with the country being the oldest independent post-colonial African State. President Buhari is the Special Guest of Honour at the celebration and will deliver an address.   The trip to Liberia comes at a time when political instability and the return of coups-d’état have upended two to three decades of democratic order in the sub-region. Some Nigerians on social media, Tuesday, expressed displeasure over the resumption of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila in a university in the United States of America amidst the lingering strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Gbajabiamila had on Tuesday tweeted via his verified Twitter handle, @femigbaja that he had gone back to the Harvard Kennedy School. “Back to class. In a leadership course @havard @Kennedy_school. Forget the number of grey hairs, one is never too old to learn.”  

TRUCK CRUSHES 2 SOLDIERS TO DEATH IN KADUNA.(PHOTO).

Truck Crushes 2 Soldiers To Death In Kaduna Two soldiers of the Nigerian Army have died in an accident involving a motorcycle and waste collection truck in Kaduna State on Tuesday. An eyewitness told LEADERSHIP that the two soldiers were on a motorcycle in the early hours of Tuesday to resume work at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) before the ugly incident at Mando area of Kaduna. The two soldiers (names withheld) were rushed to 44 Military Hospital before they were confirmed dead. According to the eyewitness, the soldiers fell from their motorcycle when it hit a pothole on the road and the truck coming behind them crushed them.  However, when contacted, the Academy Public Relations Officer, Major Bashir Jajira, denied knowledge of such incident.
