EFCC Arrests 37 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ibadan Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on have arrested thirty-seven (37) suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan, Oyo State. The suspects are Ibrahim Adewale Adegoke, Echeta Chidi Oluwabe, Adeyinka Oladaide Monsuru, Adedeji Mojeed Adewusi, Uzuh Samuel Friday, Ibrahim Aliu Olaide, Babatunde Ayomide Yinus, Rahaman Idris, Adeniji Eniade Ebelizer, Segun Bamidele, Ifemade Haruna, Adeyinka Kola Michael, Adewusi Taiwo Femi, Oyewo Ayomide Solomon, Adebayo Okikioluwa Adeoye, Abiodun Olamijulo Kayode, Collin Ayomide Oyelakin, Babatunde Oluwasegun and Mathew Emmanuel Ogina. Man Jailed Two Years for NNPC Job Scam in Kaduna The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of one Prince Emmanuel Sunday before Justice Darius Khobo of the State High Court sitting in Kaduna, Kaduna State on a one count amended charge bordering on criminal misappropriation. The defendant, sometime in December, 2019, allegedly obtained the sum of N2million from one Raji Miftan Olalekan to facilatate his employment with the Finance and Accounts Department of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). After making the payment, the defendant failed to deliver on his promises. Instead, he issued the victim with a post-dated cheque as refund. However the cheque was returned unpaid due to insufficient funds standing to the credit of the drawer. The one count amended charge reads: "that you, Prince Emmanuel Sunday on or about the 10th of December, 2019 at Kaduna, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, ...

Lionel Messi agrees to join Inter Miami after leaving PSG Lionel Messi has reportedly decided to join Inter Miami with the move set to be announced within the next few hours. According to Guillem Balague, Messi has made the decision to head to the South Florida-based club.  He said Messi will link up with the Florida-based outfit once his PSG contract expires at the end of June. Lai Mohammed gets new appointment after leaving Buhari’s govt A former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has been appointed as the managing partner of Ballard Partners, an international lobbying firm. This comes less than two weeks after ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet was dissolved. Mohammed’s new role was confirmed in a statement shared on Ballard Partner’s official Twitter page on Tuesday. It read: “Ballard Partners, one of the top government relations firms in the United States, is opening its first office in Africa in Abuja, Nigeria, the nation’s capital. “Lai Mohammed, the immediate past Nigeria minister of information and culture, will serve as the managing partner of the Abuja office and the firm’s satellite office in Lagos, the nation’s financial centre.” The firm’s president noted that Mohammed was given the role, because he “is one of the most respected officials in the country”.
