 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations. Bamidele Urges Tinubu To Deploy Diplomatic Shuttle For Release Of Ekweremadu In UK Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deploy diplomatic shuttle to ensure the release of Senator Ike Ekweremadu in the United Kingdom. Bamidele in his remarks on 9th Senate during the valedictory session said what happened to Senator Ekweremadu could happen to any parent, thereby calling on President Tinubu to deploy all the necessary diplomatic shuttle for the release of the former Deputy Senate President in United Kingdom (UK) prison.

Accountant General Suspends Staff Over IPPIS Breach The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) says it has suspended a staff member over a breach of the federal government’s salary payment system, Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS). A statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr Bawa Mokwa, refuted reports of salary padding in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), using the IPPIS platform. “We are in receipt of enquiries over alleged “salary padding” on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) involving some unspecified Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA). “This is to inform the general public that there is no evidence of “salary padding” before the OAGF at this time.”

This is the first time I'm ever getting pregnant and I conceived naturally. 😲 We've had failed IVFs and other failed assisted procedures.  God have visited us with a twins 😭💃 Truly What God cannot do, does not exist. It is a historic day that deserves to be celebrated.  On that day in 1993, we the people of Nigeria stated our unreserved preference for true democracy. Though under military rule, we freely chose a transparent voting method. Our votes reflected our true choice as a people. Our choice on that day defied divisions of ethnicity, religion and region. It is these qualities that added up to make June 12 special in our search for true democracy.  Our collective choice of late Chief M. K.O AbIola as a worthy leader for nation was saluted by Nigerians and governments and peoples across the world. Cook-a-thon: Man Offers Chef Damilola Two Weeks Cook Tour In US A man identified as Ayodeji Arojo has offered chef Damilola Adeparusi, who is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual with a 120-hour cooking marathon, a two-week cooking tour in the United States. Arojo announced this in a post shared on his Facebook account on Monday. He shared pictures of the chef from the marathon cooking and wrote, “Chef Dammy will be invited for a 2-week cook tour in the United States. I can't wait for her to start the process! Yayyyyyyy”

Anambra State Government Continues Raid On Illegal Revenue Collectors, Arrests Four Suspects Four suspected illegal revenue collectors have been arrested by the Anambra state Government for diverting money and other levies belonging to the government. The suspects were arrested during a revenue drive at Onitsha and environs led by the Executive Director, Operations, Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, AIRS, Dr Christian Madubuko.  Illegal revenue collectors expose many to untold hardships, harassing and intimidating unsuspecting individuals while pocketing the monies without minding the government suspension of some revenue windows. When interviewed, two of the arrested suspects, Messrs Onyedika Okolo and Ifeanyi Chilozie said they were collecting for one Mr Offia also known as Bush who they make returns to the tune of account 15,000 naira per day.  Ponmo is now dangerous - FG raises alarm about a dangerous virus The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has raised an alarm of ponmo now being dangerous for Nigerians to consume following the outbreak of Anthrax in some neighbouring countries within the West African sub-region. Nigerians have been asked to desist from the consumption of hides (ponmo), smoked meat and bush meat as they pose serious risk until the situation is brought under control.
