This initiative underscores the Lagos State Government's commitment to promoting inclusivity and improving the quality of life for individuals living with disabilities. The General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, expressed her gratitude to the Lagos State Ministry of Health for its vital support in making the event possible.  Egypt rejects attempts to form ‘parallel government’ in Sudan Egypt announced on Sunday its rejection of any attempt to form a parallel Sudanese government or any action that threatens the unity and sovereignty of Sudan. “The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its rejection of any attempts that threaten the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan, including efforts to establish a parallel Sudanese government," the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Anadolu Agency reported. It further warned that such attempts "complicate the situation in Sudan, hinder ongoing efforts to unify the visions of Sudanese political forces, and worsen the humanitarian crisis."  Abducted Afenifere National Youth President Eniola Olajuni regains freedom National President of the Afenifere Youth Council Eniola Olajuni has been released after 12 days in kidnappers’ den. Olajuni confirmed this himself in a short clip that was posted on X. “I have been released,” he said while being driven in a car. “I was released in Ibilo, Edo State. I was released this evening.” Olajuni was kidnapped on Monday, 17 February 2025, on his way to Abuja for a meeting. His abductors demanded N100 million and two tricycles as ransom for his release. On Wednesday, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, ordered the deployment of the Intelligence Response Team, IRT, to secure Olajuni’s safe release. Before then, a video went viral showing Olajuni at gunpoint, pleading for Nigerians to come to his aid and raise funds for his release.
