Fan attacks Naira Marley on stage during concert in Cotonou A tense moment occurred during Naira Marley’s concert in Benin Republic when a fan unexpectedly invaded the stage in what appeared to be an attempt to attack the singer. In a viral video from the event, the Marlian Music boss was seen performing when the man suddenly charged towards him. Swift intervention by security operatives, including close associate Sam Larry, prevented the situation from escalating. The intruder was immediately restrained and escorted off the stage while the performance continued.  Osun Amotekun arrests notorious kidnap kingpin after gun battle The Osun State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, has arrested a notorious kidnap kingpin, popularly known as Bishop, following a gun battle with operatives over the weekend. The suspect was tracked to his hideout at Isokun, Ilesa, around 5:59 p.m. on Saturday. According to the Corps Commander, Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, Bishop—who had been on the wanted list of several security agencies—was arrested alongside another suspect, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing gang members. Omoyele explained that the suspects engaged Amotekun operatives in a fierce exchange of gunfire before being subdued. “Using tactical decoys and superior strategy, our operatives overpowered the suspects,” he said.  Sowore’s lawyers ask X to ignore DSS request to delete post on Tinubu Tope Temokun Chambers, law firm representing Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters, has asked X to disregard a request from the Department of State Services (DSS) to take down one of Sowore’s posts on President Bola Tinubu. The DSS had written to X demanding the deactivation of Sowore’s verified account, saying his recent post on Tinubu could incite violence and threaten national security. In a post on Sunday, Sowore said X officially contacted him about a letter from the DSS demanding the removal of his content. In a letter addressed to X, the law firm described the DSS request as “unlawful, unconstitutional and without legal foundation”.  Gunmen kill 23 in Katsina, Kaduna, Kwara, Niger, Plateau At least 23 people have been killed by gunmen over the weekend in Katsina, Kaduna, Kwara, Plateau and Niger states. Seven people were reportedly killed in Katsina State as bandits launched an attack on Magajin Wando village in Dandume Local Government Area. The attack occurred between 11pm and midnight on Friday. The Katsina State Government confirmed the incident on Saturday in a statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasir Mu’azu.
