 Kufana Youths Apprehend Suspected Transformer Vandals, Hand Over Suspects To Police The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has commended the vigilance and bravery of youths in Kufana community following the arrest of suspected transformer vandals in the early hours of Tuesday. The suspects, identified as Denis Reuben of Kurmin Ido, Haruna Ado of Kurmin Kwari, and another individual, were reportedly caught while allegedly attempting to steal transformer coils. Their arrest was carried out by a patrol team led by Mr. Samaila Akawu, alongside the community Youth Leader, Mr. Chris Lingo, and other vigilant youths. Following the arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution. Reacting to the development, Hon.  Actress Angela Okorie rearrested after release from Suleja prison Actress Angela Okorie was this afternoon re-arrested by men of the FCT police command shortly after her release from the Suleja Correctional center. She was rearrest based on a petition written against her by a businesswoman who claimed the actress owes her N5 million and has refused to pay. Another actress who is close to Angela and knows about the debt, prevailed on the businesswoman to write a petition against Angela which has now led to her rearrest. There are speculations that she might be detained today. Recall that on January 26, Angela was arrested in Lagos and flown to Abuja where she was arraigned before the Federal High Court, Abuja on Cyberstalking and Cyberb$llying charges. The actress was charged following a petition written against her by her colleague, Mercy Johnson Okojie.  Governor Douye Diri Says He Defects Out Of Conviction Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has said he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) based on his personal conviction at the time. Governor Diri announced his resignation from the PDP on October 15, 2025 and was formally received by bigwigs of the APC, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, in Yenagoa, the state capital, on November 3, 2025.  NECO RELEASES 2025 SSCE EXTERNAL RESULTS;  86.26% MADE 5 CREDITS AND ABOVE NECO has released the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External results just 52 days after the final paper.  The Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi says a total of 96,979 candidates registered for the examination across 16 subjects, while 95,160 candidates eventually sat for the papers. Performance analysis shows strong outcomes, with 71.63 per cent of candidates securing five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. Specifically, 78.32 per cent earned credit passes in English Language, while 91.35 per cent achieved credit passes in Mathematics. Overall, 86.26 per cent obtained five credits and above irrespective of English and Mathematics. On examination malpractice, 9,016 candidates were booked for various offences, representing a 31.7 per cent increase compared to 2024.  INEC CHARGES MEDIA OPERATIVES ON RESPONSIBLE ELECTORAL REPORTAGE With less than three weeks to the FCT area council elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission has called on journalists, media executives and on-air personalities to uphold accuracy, fairness and balance in election reporting. Rabiat Shaib reports that at a media forum in Abuja, INEC describes the press as critical stakeholders in the electoral process, warning that misinformation before, during and after elections can undermine public trust and credibility.
