 PDP Hails INEC’s Publication Of 2027 Candidates The Peoples Democratic Party has welcomed the publication by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the names of candidates for the 2027 general election, describing the development as a proof of doubts over its ability to field a presidential candidate had been laid to rest. A statement issued in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, said the release of the names of its presidential candidate, Senator Sandy Ojang Onor, and running mate, Alhaji Babangida Umar, alongside its National Assembly candidates, marked a significant milestone in its preparations for the 2027 polls. The Party noted that the publication had effectively dispelled months of speculation and what it described as misinformation by political opponents who had claimed the party would be unable to present a presidential candidate.              Yesterday tuesday,33 year old American musician Alicia Keys led a protests in New Your city to raise awareness about the missing Chibok girls.Yesterday tuesday also marked six months since the girls were abducted.Alicia Keys and other people,protested infrount of the Consulate General of Nigeria.They chanted ''Bring Back Our Girls and when do we want them?. Now! Now! Alive''.Pregnant Alicia Keys says ''Today is my son's birthday and it is also making me stand in solidarity with all the the mothers of the Chibok girls who have been abducted for six months and are still missing.And it is just outrageous that is going on''.More photos below.
