 Anambra to go after houses without proper drainage in order to combat Erosion  Worried by the rising menace of gully erosion, the Anambra State Government has threatened to enforce regulations requiring residents to provide proper drainage for storm water from their homes. The State Executive Council (ANSEC), which announced the proposed enforcement, lamented that erosion remains an existential challenge in Anambra, blaming the situation on careless actions by some communities and lapses by regulatory bodies in enforcing environmental laws. Briefing journalists after the weekly executive council meeting, the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, said it had been observed that some residents channel storm water from their homes directly onto roads, where it accumulates and worsens the erosion crisis across the state. “ANSEC has resolved to step up enforcement to compel residents to properly channel and manage storm water from their houses. THE LEG OF A LAWMA WORKER FUNKE WAS AMPUTATED,AFTER A BUS DRIVER CHINEDU KNOCKED HER DOWN AT IGANDO.

                  38 year old Obi Chinedu a public bus driver,has been arrested and charged before Ejigbo Magistrate for allegedly knocking down a staff of Lagos State Waste Management Authority,LAWMA,which led to the amputation of her leg in a hospital in Lagos state.The incident happened at Cele bus stop along Isheri-Igando expressway where the victim Mrs Funke Olorunda was on official duty.She was rushed to Igando General Hospital where she was referred to the National Orthopedic Hospital in Igobi Lagos.Due to the seriousness of the injury she sustained,her left leg was amputated to save her life.She is now walking with one leg with the aid of a walking stick.The bus driver was arrested and detained at the police station in Idimu Division before he was charged to court with driving in a dangerous manner and knocking down Funke which caused amputation of her leg.Chinedu,through his counsel,informed the court about his regrets concerning the accident and expressed his willingness to settle the matter out of court and treat the victim.The presiding Magistrate,Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.Chinedu was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail condition.The case was adjourned till 6th of September,2015.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
