 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 50 SOLDIERS DEAD,AS AL-SHABAAB MILITANTS ATTACKED AN AFRICAN UNION BASE IN SOMALIA TODAY.

                        Early today tuesday,Al-shabaab militants attacked an African Union {AU} base in southern Somalia killing dozens of soldiers.One of the Alshabaab fighters rammed a car bomb into the base and then gunmen poured inside the facility run by the AU peacekeeping mission in Somalia,AMISOM.50 peacekeepers were killed in the attack on Janale base,about 90km south of the capital Mogadishu.Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,Al Shabaab's military operations spokesman,told pressmen that ''Now Janale base of AMISOM is under our control''.Though the AU peacekeeping force said via Twitter without giving details on the casualties.''AMISOM can confirm that the base is still under AMISOM control.Reports that the base has been taken over and our weapons captured are false''.According to a Somali military officer Captain Bilow Idow ,who is based in a town near Janale said ''The Janale base was effectively cut off as the militants had destroyed a nearby bridge.No reinforcement can reach there.There is much death and damage''.
