Today monday,it was reported that Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Abujs,has rejected the prayers by Senator Bukola Saraki to stop his arrest as ordered by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.The tribunal today ordered the Inspector General of Police to arrest and produce Senator Saraki in court tomorrow tuesday by 10:00am.Last week thursday,Justice Mohammed had given an order summoning the officials of Code of Conduct Bureau and Code of Conduct Tribunal to his court today,an order interpreted by Saraki's legal team as meaning the stoppage of the planned trial at the tribunal.But the tribunal said the interpretation was of no effect as it enjoys concurrent powers with the Federal High Court.Barrister A.O Adelodun argued Saraki's case,while Taiwo Abidogun stood in for the defendants.The latter told the court that it lacks the power to make the order being requested by Team Saraki.Justice Mohammed declined to rule on all the issues raised and adjourned matters till 30 of September.
