 Governor Uba Sani Attends Kaduna Forest Guards Graduation As Special Guest of Honour Governor Uba Sani attended the graduation ceremony of the newly trained Kaduna State Forest Guards at the DSS Development Centre, Afaka, where he served as the Special Guest of Honour. As part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the improving security situation in Kaduna State, the state government, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the Department of State Services (DSS), has successfully trained over 1,000 forest guards. The recruits underwent intensive training coordinated by ONSA to enhance surveillance and security across forests and rural communities that have been vulnerable to criminal activities. Fully armed and operating under ONSA's rules of engagement, the forest guards will complement the efforts of conventional security agencies. COTE D'IVOIRE WILL HOST AN ALL NIGHT CONCERT TRIBUTE,TOMORROW FOR LATE PAPA WEMBA.

                       According to sources,Cote d'Ivoire will host an all night concert tribute this week to Congolese rumba star Papa Wemba,who died after collapsing on stage during a festival in Abidjan.The festival organisers said a ''big artistic wake would be held from Wednesday evening to the larger than life musician known as the king of Congolese rumba who fused Cuban and African rhythms.More than 100 national and international singers and musicians will succeed each other on stage from 9pm until dawn''.FEMA said in a statement.Family members were also heading to Cote d'Ivoire to prepare to repatriate Papa Wemba's body to his homeland,where Culture minister Banza Makalay described his death as a great loss for music''.Papa Wemba,one of the biggest names in Africa music for the past 40 years,died after falling ill on sunday during a performance at the Urban Music Festival of Anoumabo {FEMUA}.The cause of Papa Wemba's death is not yet known,although he was said to have suffered health problems for some years and some witnesses said he looked unwell on sunday.More photos below.
