 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. COTE D'IVOIRE WILL HOST AN ALL NIGHT CONCERT TRIBUTE,TOMORROW FOR LATE PAPA WEMBA.

                       According to sources,Cote d'Ivoire will host an all night concert tribute this week to Congolese rumba star Papa Wemba,who died after collapsing on stage during a festival in Abidjan.The festival organisers said a ''big artistic wake would be held from Wednesday evening to the larger than life musician known as the king of Congolese rumba who fused Cuban and African rhythms.More than 100 national and international singers and musicians will succeed each other on stage from 9pm until dawn''.FEMA said in a statement.Family members were also heading to Cote d'Ivoire to prepare to repatriate Papa Wemba's body to his homeland,where Culture minister Banza Makalay described his death as a great loss for music''.Papa Wemba,one of the biggest names in Africa music for the past 40 years,died after falling ill on sunday during a performance at the Urban Music Festival of Anoumabo {FEMUA}.The cause of Papa Wemba's death is not yet known,although he was said to have suffered health problems for some years and some witnesses said he looked unwell on sunday.More photos below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
