TERRORISTS, BANDITRY ACTIVITIES IN NORTHWEST HAVE REDUCED- SHEHU SANI. (PHOTO).
Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Troops of 21 Brigade and rugged team of Armed Forces Special Forces {AFSF} on Operation CRACKDOWN inside Sambisa forest while on harbour for refitting,came under Boko Haram terrorists attack at about 1.45am today morning.However,the gallant troops successfully up with mopping up operations of the general area before advancing.They also recovered 2 corpses of the attackers and the following items; 2 AK-47 rifles, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade {RPG} bombs, 5 rifle magazines,mortar bombs and a belt of Machine Gun rounds.Unfortunately 5 soldiers were wounded in action {WIA},as a result of mortar fired into the harbour area by the Boko Haram terrorists.The wounded soldiers have been evacuated to the rear for treatment.Despite this incident,the morale of the gallant troops remains very high as they are determined to successfully clear Boko Haram terrorists.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.
