 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. LAGOS FLAGS OFF 2018 WORLD WATER DAY.

     Lagos Water Corporation has flagged-off the 2018 World Water Day with Free Water Test campaign at various locations across the metropolis.
Speaking to the LWC Quality Assurance as well as Sales & Commercial Department teams before take off, the Head of the Department, Mrs. Monsurat Banire enjoined the Staff to be worthy Ambassadors of the Corporation, urging them to be polite in answering questions and friendly to all as they are esteemed customers of the Corporation.
She said the three-day event is expected to cover the eight operational regions of LWC, for easy accessibility, adding that “You are expected to take samples of water used in the locations cover irrespective of the source, either it is LWC, borehole or any other.
According to her, the essence is to show the general public the quality of water the Corporation is serving the public compared to what is obtained from other sources such as boreholes.
Banire maintained that LWC distributed water is clean, safe and good for human consumption and urged Lagosians to migrate/connect to it due to conformity with World Health Organisation’s Standard.She said this year’s theme:  “NATURE FOR WATER”, explores how we can use nature to overcome the water challenges of the 21st century, stressing that environmental damage, together with climate change, is causing the water-related crises, floods, drought and water pollution around the world.She cautioned that neglect of our ecosystems makes it harder to provide everyone with the water we need to survive and thrive.
