 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.      ANAMBRA STATE POLICE COMMAND DIARY:
In compliance with the directives of the Inspector-general of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM,mni, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP John B.Abang,fdc accompanied by heads of other Security Agencies in the State has today 24/12/2019 paid an unscheduled visit to Onitsha headbridge and environs in order to access Police deployment and monitor traffic situation in the affected areas.
The deployment which also includes aerial surveillance,patrols and traffic control are meant to ensure that all Ndi Anambra and other residents alike celebrate Christmas and new year peacefully.
Consequently, the CP on behalf of other Security Agencies in the State reassures the Public that the law enforcement agencies will continue to collaborate and ensure safety and security of all citizens before during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.
