 No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

LASG CONDUCTS COVID-19 TESTS ON CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS


... Distributes Welfare Materials


The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB), on Tuesday, tested pilgrims intending to proceed to the Kingdom of Jordan for COVID -19. The pilgrims also received welfare materials in preparation for the official airlifting. 


The Board Secretary, Mrs. Florence Yetunde Gbafe, speaking at the event said the exercise was an offshoot of the ‘new normal’ as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that the exercise is a prerequisite for anyone embarking on a journey outside the country.


Explaining that the exercise was conducted 72 hours before departure in line with COVID-19 guidelines, Mrs. Gbafe noted that the pilgrims enjoyed reduced costs and the Board ensured that the tests were undertaken at a renowned and credible medical laboratory.


Speaking at the exercise, a member of the Board, Sir Folusho Adekoya, noted that the tests undertaken by intending pilgrims were an essential factor in determining those who would eventually be airlifted to the Holy land.


He urged the tourists to the Kingdom of Jordan to comport themselves during the journey, saying “you must be very accommodative to stay with somebody in a room, you have to be tolerant because you are going to be a watchdog for each other. Be your brother's keeper”. 

 

In the same vein, Pastor David Deile, a Board member also encouraged the intending Pilgrims to partake fully in all the spiritual exercises such as morning and evening devotion.
