 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. ANAMBRA ELDERS COUNCIL COMMEND GOV. OBIANO FOR AIRPORT AND ICC PROJECTS.[PHOTOS].

Elders under the auspices of Anambra Elders Council have applauded Governor Willie Obiano for the vision of putting up the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Project, Umueri and Anambra International Conference Center, Awka.


The elders gave the commendation when they joined the governor on his usual weekly inspection visit to the projects.


Governor Obiano personally led the elders, painstakingly explaining and showcasing all aspects of the airport and the Conference Center.


Speaking on the viability of the airport, former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku described it as magnificent, applauded the Governor for not borrowing to finance the project.


While enphasizing that it portrays the Governor  as an efficient manager of resources, unlike some of his counterparts, Chief Anayaoku congratulated ndi Anambra saying that the project which is pride to the Governor, the State and Nigeria, will sufficiently serve the interests of not only Anambra and South East merchants, but foreign investors in time to come, stressing that the conference center will evidently complement the airport.


Former Prefect, Congregation for Divine Worship and the Disciple of the Sacraments, Francis Cardinal Arinze noted that the airport is beautiful, expressing optimism that ndi Anambra have capable people in every facet of human endeavour and prayed for the successful take off and operation of the airport and the Conference Center.


Archbishop Province On The Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim who maintained that the airport will make for easy and safer travel, noted that Governor Obiano has done well to leave legacies behind, urged successive administrations not to abandon them, just as he prayed God to help him round off well.


Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief  Chukwemeka Ezeife, Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, Former Chairman of Police Service Commission, Chief Simon Okeke, Traditional Ruler of Mbaukwu, Igwe Peter Anugwu, Elder Chris Eluomuno, National Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, among others were part of the visit.
