 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. President Muhammadu Buhari joins family members and friends in celebrating with former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Christopher Kolade, on his 89th birthday, December 28, 2021.


The President felicitates with the diplomat and academic, whose integrity, intelligence and experience have been placed many times at the service of the nation, leaving footprints of excellence and bringing glory to the country wherever he served.


President Buhari notes contributions of the veteran broadcaster in both the private and public sectors, working variously as Director General of Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Cadbury Nigeria Ltd, and  lecturer at the Lagos Business School.


As the journalist, diplomat and academic turns 89, the President prays for good health to keep sharing his wealth of knowledge.
