 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. 'I KILLED HER AFTER I SPENT THE N150,000 SHE GAVE ME TO GET HER AN APARTMENT' - ESTATE AGENT WHO KILLED BENUE VARSITY STUDENT




The police in Benue state have arrested the suspected killer of an undergraduate of the Benue state University, Erekaa Dooshima, who went missing in February and was found dead days after.

Benue info-pedia, earlier reported that the deceased was found dead on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, three days after she went missing.

Following the circumstances surrounding her death, the police swung into action and in the course of its investigation, arrested an estate agent, Shagbaor Ugosor Japhet, who she gave the sum of N150,000 to, for him to help her secure an apartment.

Benue rights activist Mr Ukan kurugh reports that following his arrest and interrogation, the suspect confessed to killing Dooshima.

The suspect said that he used the money to stake a bet and when he couldn’t provide the house or the money, he called the 25-year-old lady and hacked her to death.

‘When she arrived at the dark corner of the street where I called her to come, I cut her with a machete several times leading to her death.

‘After killing her, I took her body with her iPhone and dumped her body on the street to make it look like someone else killed her .‘

Unfortunately for Shagbaor, the POS machine Dooshima used to make the transfer to him was tracked and the suspect arrested.

Police said he will soon have his day in court.
