 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. POLICE ARREST 20-YEAR-OLD NOTORIOUS TRAFFIC ROBBER

- Recover Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

Officers of Ijora-Badia Division of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday, March 13, 2023 arrested one Damilare Akinwunmi 'm' aged 20, a member of a gang notorious for dispossessing motorists

of their belongings around Pallet area of Ijora-Badia, Lagos. 


Luck ran out on the suspect when his victim, whom he had just dispossessed of a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, quickly reported the incident at the nearest police station - Ijora Badia. Swiftly, detectives from the division


 traced the suspect to his hideout in Monkey Village where he was arrested and the phone recovered. 


Damilare, who confessed to having robbed at the same spot several times, is currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation towards arresting other members of the gang.

Suspect(s) will be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations.


The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has assured residents of Lagos State that efforts are being redoubled towards eradicating all forms of criminality in the state.
