 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Fighting Financial Crimes is Crucial National Service- Bawa Tells Graduating Cadets

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today, May 25, 2023, inducted 115 Detective Inspectors into its Service at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Akwanga, Nasarawa state.

The Reviewing Officer of the Passing Out Parade and Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, congratulated the graduating Cadets and charged them to be diligent in contributing their quota in the fight against economic and financial crimes. ”Cadets, I urge you all to be committed to the profession you have signed up for. It is crucial for you to know that law enforcement, especially in the field of economic and financial crime is a crucial national service”.

He reminded them that it is “a career that takes years to build but requires only a minute to destroy”.

The EFCC boss also expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, for the enormous support given to the Commission.  He equally commended the Nigeria Police Force for its collaborative roles. “I want to thank the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba CFR for making the Police Force Training College accessible", he said.

The Commandant Nigeria Police Mobile Force Training College, Nasarawa, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ikioye Orutugu, who was represented by the Deputy Commandant, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Yakubu Nda, expressed gratitude to the EFCC for “the continued training of the EFCC cadets in this college”, describing the gesture as “a show of strong synergy and unbreakable bond between the Nigeria Police Force and the EFCC”

The EFCC management team, family and friends were treated to an elaborate conventional drill, including march-past by the 115 officers comprising 96 males and 19 females. 

Cadets John Okoronkwo and Tawosen Jacob Benga were awarded overall best for outstanding performance, while Cadet Yusuf Jamiu Oluwaseun was the best Cadet in drill. The EFCC Commandant’s award for command and leadership went to Cadet Abubakar Abdullahi.

Commissioner of Police Audu Dabigi, Compo-Mopol, Nigeria Police Headquarters, Abuja, Secretary to the EFCC, Dr George Abang Ekpungu ,  senior officers of the EFCC and the Police Mobile Training College, family and friends of the cadets, graced the ceremony.
