  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. We Didn’t Monitor Any Labour Party Congress In Abia, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi States- INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said they didn’t monitor any Congress conducted by the Labour Party in Abia, Imo, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi States.

The electoral umpire made the disclosure in a letter dated 17th April written to APC Zonal Chairman.

Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, APC National Vice Chairman, South East had written the commission requesting “for Confirmation of the conduct of Ward, LGA and State Congresses as well as list of Delegates of Labour Party in Abia, Imo, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi States.”

But in a letter signed by Rose Oriaran-Anthony: Secretary to the Commission, INEC said they weren’t notified by the Labour Party for the conduct of any of their congresses.

“This is to inform you that by the records of the Commission, Labour Party did not notify the Commission of dates for the conduct of Ward, LGA and State Congresses and Delegates lists

“Accordingly, the Commission did not monitor any Ward, LGA and State Congresses for election of Delegates by the Party.”
