 Medical charity group MSF sacks 18 staff over abuse of Sudanese refugees in Chad Dozens of Doctors Without Borders staff have been accused of sexually abusing Sudanese refugees in Chad, the organisation said Monday, adding that it dismissed 18 workers after investigations found "serious misconduct". The medical charity, which goes by its French acronym MSF, said it had launched a series of investigations into "serious allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse" put forward in late 2024 by Sudanese refugees hosted in eastern Chad. In an email confirming information first reported by the Associated Press, MSF said that "while some of the 59 allegations were corroborated by the review, others remained unverified as in some cases neither victims nor perpetrators could be identified", AFP reported.  CBN Removes Restriction on Domiciliary Accounts, Raises Cash Deposits to $10,000


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has removed the restrictions on domiciliary accounts and has increased the cash deposits to $10,000 daily.


The bank confirmed this development in a statement on Sunday after an extraordinary Bankers’ Committee meeting to discuss the new foreign exchange (FX) policy aimed to converge the various exchange rate regimes in the country.


The CBN said domiciliary account holders must be allowed full access to their funds.


“Domiciliary account holders are permitted to utilize cash deposits not exceeding $10,000 per day or its equivalent via telegraphic transfer,” a part of the notice from the central bank said.
