 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GOV SANWO-OLU AT 10TH YEAR REMEMBRANCE FIDAU OF LATE ALHAJA ABIBATU MOGAJI AT DE BLUE ROOF, LTV, IKEJA, ON THURSDAY, 15TH JUNE 2023

 
Today at the 10th year remembrance Fidau prayer organized in memory of business magnate and H.E President Bola Tinubu's mother, Alhaja Abibatu Ashabi Mogaji, I urged everyone to emulate the good virtues she espoused and also be agents of change in their immediate communities.

Late Alhaja Mogaji was a woman of tremendous grace, and resilience, a staunch advocate for the welfare and development of the grassroots, and a trailblazer for breaking barriers for women to take up leadership roles in the business circle. 

Joined by dignitaries, market leaders, and clerics, we paid tribute to a remarkable woman. We offered prayers for her soul and celebrated her immense contributions.

I am grateful to all attendees for honouring her legacy.
