TERRORISTS, BANDITRY ACTIVITIES IN NORTHWEST HAVE REDUCED- SHEHU SANI. (PHOTO).

 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta.  FG urged to stop casualization of workers 


 The federal government has been urged to redirect  its policies towards curtailing casualization or contract staffing employment in the country. 


Speaking during the third quadrennial national delegates' conference, of  members of Chemicals and Non metallic Product, held in Ilorin, the national president of the group, Comrade Segun David, described casual work as often temporary, without job security.


The labour leader, said the issue can be checkmated through collaboration with the organized labour, and the civil society organizations.


He said the  growth in irregular work has changed the nature of employment from a labour relationship to a commercial relationship ,with the worker taking all the risks. 


Comrade David explained that the owners  of the business wants to cut costs by all means , adding that  the human capital is treated as mere robots.


He also appealed to  government to check  the high rate of unemployment in the country.


Comrade David maintained that the  challenges of National Development is to manage the economy  and  promote job-led growth rather than the present situation of jobless growth.


The labour leader advised the present administration to  consider various windows of opportunities that will be attractive to business environment and encourage

industrialization for the organized private sector to partner in the provision and expansion of infrastructures at all levels to enable it rise to the occasion and drive the process of employment generation.END
