 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone. Ogun Commissioner Visits Woman Found With Dëäd Child, Promises To Support Family 

The Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Motunrayo Adeleye, has detailed how she and her team visited the home of a woman who was found with a dead child in the Abeokuta area of the state. 

She shared details about the incident on her X page late Thursday. 

Adeleye wrote, "Today, I received a call from #Letter_to_Jack concerning a distressing situation. A woman was found by the roadside, carrying her two-month-old child who was looking lifeless. My team and I immediately responded, but upon arrival, it was evident that the child had passed away. 

"We then engaged with Mrs. Aminatu (the mother of the child), seeking to understand her circumstances. She led us to her family home, where we discovered her husband is blind, and the deceased child had been born prematurely with underlying health issues. 

"Recognising the dire situation, we resolved to provide support. 

"I instructed my team to collect their details, and we are in the process of exploring ways to help Mrs. Aminatu set up a business to support her family, as she is the family's sole provider."
