 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. A WOMAN WAS ARRESTED FOR PLACING A FALSE 911 CALL AND AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO AN OFFICER. (PHOTO).

 Former Salem woman arrested for placing a false 911 call as well as an aggravated battery to an officer.



Ashley Pohlman, 23, called 911 and reported several armed gunmen inside of Biggie's on route 161 east of Centralia.


When police arrived on scene, they observed individuals inside of the store. After making a phone call to a Biggie's employee and learning there were no armed gunmen, officials attempted to arrest Pohlman.


For some strange reason, Pohlman was parked outside of the Biggies store waiting for police after making the false 911 call. It is unclear why she made the call or if she believed there were armed gunmen. 


Pohlman resisted arrest and scratched an officer. She is not only being charged with placing a false 911 call but she is also facing disorderly conduct charges and aggravated battery to an officer.


There was also another 911 call placed stating that there was an armed gunman on an Amtrak train, which also was found to be untrue. It is not clear yet who made that phone call.
