 The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), yesterday, sealed off some buildings/properties across the state over different environmental infractions. They are; * A property on 34, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain causing offensive odour and sewage flowing in the community, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A block of Shops along Powerline Road, Meiran, Alimosho, for the illegal construction and operation of unsanitary toilet facility on a road setback without a permit, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A three-storey building at 38, Adeniji Adele Street, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain. * A building at H29, House of Jesus Street, Langbasa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, for the deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drains. EFCC, FRENCH EMBASSY PARLEY ON ANTI-GRAFT WAR.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

EFCC, French Embassy Parley on Anti-Graft War 
          
French’s Minister of the Interior and Overseas, Laurent Baile has expressed support for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in its relentless fight against economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption. 

He made this disclosure on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in Abuja while on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede at the corporate headquarters of the Commission in Jabi, Abuja.

Baile congratulated Olukoyede on his appointment and sued for greater collaboration with the EFCC on modalities for tackling cybercrimes and associated criminalities.  Discussions were also held on issues pertaining to joint investigations and intelligence sharing. 

In his response, Olukoyede appreciated the visit and restated his resolve about driving the war against economic and financial crimes on the right focus. “We are determined to properly focus the mandate of the Commission in the overall interests of Nigerians.  The overriding aim of fighting economic and financial crimes is to grow the economy, stimulate development, create jobs and remove bottlenecks against sustainable development.  We will be more professional in the way we do our jobs and we will adhere strictly to the rule of law”, he said.  He commended the French government for its longstanding support for the EFCC and called for greater synergy in tackling the menace of economic and financial crimes.

 Baile was accompanied on the visit by Verin Emmanuel,  Interior Attache  at the French Embassy.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
