 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00. Police investigates burning of Monarch House in Plateau

The Plateau State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the burning of the District Head of Bokkos Saf Adanchin Palace, Bokkos town in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state during a protest in the community.

The spokesperson for the command, Alabo Alfred, explains that calm had been restored in the area and efforts are on to investigate what led to the uproar.

He added that the command was working to bring the perpetrators to justice.

On Friday, Women and Youths took the streets to express their displeasure over the arrest of some community members in connection to Christmas eve killings in the area.

The protesters took their agitation to the Joint Security Task Force Operation Safe Haven base and the Divisional Police Office in the Bokkos Local Government Area community to express their displeasure over the development.

The protesters proceeded to the district head’s palace and eventually set it ablaze
