 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Police investigates burning of Monarch House in Plateau

The Plateau State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the burning of the District Head of Bokkos Saf Adanchin Palace, Bokkos town in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state during a protest in the community.

The spokesperson for the command, Alabo Alfred, explains that calm had been restored in the area and efforts are on to investigate what led to the uproar.

He added that the command was working to bring the perpetrators to justice.

On Friday, Women and Youths took the streets to express their displeasure over the arrest of some community members in connection to Christmas eve killings in the area.

The protesters took their agitation to the Joint Security Task Force Operation Safe Haven base and the Divisional Police Office in the Bokkos Local Government Area community to express their displeasure over the development.

The protesters proceeded to the district head’s palace and eventually set it ablaze
