 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  Hardship Faced By Nigerians Is Trial From Allah; Those Who Endure Will Receive Mercy — MURIC


An Islamic rights advocacy group, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has told Nigerian Muslims to see the current economic hardship as a trial from Allah for which they need patience in order to overcome it and receive divine blessings.


MURIC also advised the Muslims to seek forgiveness from their Creator, Allah, to change their ways, eschew greed, and appreciate what Allah has done for them.


This was contained in a Sallah message signed on Thursday by the MURIC Executive Director, Prof Ishaq Akintola, noting that those who face the trial with forbearance will receive the mercy and blessings of Allah. 


MURIC calls on Nigerians to desist from trading blames, and cultivate a positive attitude towards their country, to seek forgiveness from their supreme creator.
