 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state. From the moment you came into this world, with your innate maturity, I entrusted you with the understanding that my role as your father, with its authority and responsibilities will never change. 


We live in a world where selfish and fleeting battles are commonplace, but remember, you are the sole master of your destiny. Through your hard work, you will forge your own path and shape your future. No one will hand you anything on a silver platter.


You must be impervious to the manipulations and instrumentalizations of those who would turn you against your family and loved ones. Cutting yourself off from family ties only makes you more vulnerable. You need to block those influences.


No family is perfect, but you have the most important things: my LOVE and my PRIDE as your father.


This day is full of symbolism: it’s your birthday, and you’ll likely be playing your first game for a first-division club. As your father, my emotions overflow, but I must remind you: hold on to the qualities you've cultivated.
