Adunni Ade faces legal threat from cab driver over lost package

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has found herself entangled in a dispute with a cab driver named Frances Njoku, who has threatened legal action against her following a package delivery incident.

The conflict began on September 18, 2024, when Ade publicly accused Njoku of absconding with her package and ignoring her attempts to contact him.

The actress took to Instagram to call out both Njoku and the ride-hailing platform, In-drive.

Her post quickly gained traction, with many of her followers rallying for accountability from the service.

By the end of the day, Ade reported that Njoku had returned the package after his profile was locked by the platform.

However, the resolution did not put an end to the dispute.

Ade on Thursday, shared screenshots of her interactions with Njoku and her fashion designer, who had originally sent the package.

The screenshots revealed Njoku’s anger over what he perceived as damage to his reputation, as well as his threat of legal action against Ade.

Njoku’s message read, “You have made nonsense of my image and I have contacted my legal team and we’ll see you in court. You are not the person who requested the ride. Many human rights activists and lawyers have called me and think I won’t let it go that way. You must render an unreserved apology and ask Instablog to pull the post down.”

In response, Ade declared her readiness to face the lawsuit.

“Francis Njoku, I am about that life! I want all the smoke. I wait on your human rights activists letter or lawsuit!” she wrote on social media.
