 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1. S. A: POLICE HAILED FOR REFUSING R15, 000 BRIBE. (PHOTOS)


 A police officer in South Africa has been hailed as a hero after refusing a R15,000 bribe and instead arresting a Malawian national who was trying to cross the border with a stolen vehicle worth approximately R980,000.


The incident occurred when the officer stopped the suspect at a border crossing and discovered that the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen. The suspect offered the officer a bribe of R15,000 to let him pass, but the officer refused and arrested the suspect instead.


The officer's actions have been praised by the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the public, who commend him for his integrity and commitment to upholding the law. The suspect is now facing charges related to the possession of stolen property and attempting to bribe a law enforcement officer.
