 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. S. A: POLICE HAILED FOR REFUSING R15, 000 BRIBE. (PHOTOS)

 A police officer in South Africa has been hailed as a hero after refusing a R15,000 bribe and instead arresting a Malawian national who was trying to cross the border with a stolen vehicle worth approximately R980,000.


The incident occurred when the officer stopped the suspect at a border crossing and discovered that the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen. The suspect offered the officer a bribe of R15,000 to let him pass, but the officer refused and arrested the suspect instead.


The officer's actions have been praised by the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the public, who commend him for his integrity and commitment to upholding the law. The suspect is now facing charges related to the possession of stolen property and attempting to bribe a law enforcement officer.
