  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Anambra State Women Protest Death Of  Woman Burnt To Death By Husband 



Women from the 179 communities in Anambra State have embarked on a peaceful demonstration to mourn Late Mrs Blessing Nwaka, the woman who was burnt to death by her husband in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area of the state. 


The women led their protest to the office of the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Center Awka. 


The protesters were made up of reputable women from different women associations including Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU led by the National President of ASATU Women Wing, Mrs Ify Okaro. 


Mrs Okaro warned their male counterparts to handle their spouses with care and love and avoid situations that will lead to violence. 


Also, the representative of the Women Leaders of communities, Mrs Josine Unachukwu, promised to raze down houses of anyone that will kill their spouses again in the state. 


Responding, Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo assured the women of the resolve of the wife of the Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo to ensure that justice takes its full course and called on men to always report their wives to the ministry instead of taking laws into their hands.


The women who were visibly sad over the incident chanted, "marriage is not a do or die affair", "anujuo must go"; and "stop killing women" as they continued their protest.
